How Teachers Make Cell Phones Work in the Classroom | MindShift

How Teachers Make Cell Phones Work in the Classroom | MindShift | Language Learning Technology | Scoop.it

Blake Turnbull's insight:

Only had the chance to take a very brief look at this one, but the basic concept revolves around the idea of employing cellphones in the learning environment. The idea builds on the foundation that students can communicate and collaborate with each other and the teacher both inside and outside the classroom. An interesting concept, but could easily become a major distraction for learners, particularly with today's modern phones and containing music and games etc...

The author here states that kids are motivated through the opportunities to sociaise and participate with oneanother in the classroom, not by the use of technology itself. Thus, they suggest that we should employ technology as a means to provide students with the chance to participate, and consequently motivate them in doing so.

i think the vioce can be recorded is a great invention. i want to share my experience with guys. when i was in high school, my parents gave me a studying instrument which could help me studying my second language. when i firstly got it, i felt it was mircle. because it was not only recording my vioce, but also comparing original one to own vioce. it was very useful for new learner. nowadays, we use new techonology in our daily life, and studying as well. we can use many website like facebook, skype for keeping touch with our classmates afterclass. Teacher could invite a guest from other coutries giving us a course via internet. we could not imagine this change 50 years ago. i believe all of those success for attributing the developent of technology increasingly. let' s enjoying this friut of techology .
