Sky Pirates of Neo Terra was developed by Day 21 Studios not just as a comic but also as a video game, something in the vein of the great racers like Mario Kart or F-Zero. After a long wait, the game is finally ready to launch. In support of the game, Camilla d'Errico and Kurtis J. Weibe have been continuing a series of webcomics that flesh out the world and characters of Neo Terra, and they're as lovely as illustration fans have come to expect from the very talented d'Errico.

SDCC presents four days of workshops and panels on a myriad of topics that spur serious discussion and open dialogue. One such panel, organized by the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund, was “Censorship and the Female Artist.”


The program guide described the panel: “Attacks on women’s speech are on the rise in the current cultural climate in realms including politics and pop culture. This panel examines how censorship affects women artists, in realms including library challenges, community dialogue, and the larger cultural conversation.”

For years, I have wanted to collect my biomechanical ladies into a comprehensive book to showcase the universe that they exist in. An obsession that I revel in, these girls have become my artistic signature. Happily, I am now able to collect and show them to the world.
