Why I Show Published On Dates For My Posts Differently

When was the last time you analyzed your blog traffic to identify your most popular blog posts? How many of those posts are from last year or the year before last? It s not just about Google. The real readers of your blog, the humans also tend to be highly focused on what’s new. No matter how great your content is and how relevant it is — chances are, your readers will ignore it if they notice that it was published 3 years ago. Don t trust me? Well, try bringing up one of your favorite blog posts from 3 years ago and highlight it on your homepage without changing its published date! Let s see how much traffic you receive on that post. Another good indicator could be the number of comments you receive on your older posts even though you might have a few people landing on those pages through search engines and your content is evergreen. How To Choose The Most Suitable Managed WordPress Hosting Service

Have you noticed a sudden increase in the number of hosting companies offering managed WordPress hosting service? Last week, I was approached by two of my good friends asking me to recommend a reliable WordPress hosting company. Since they were just getting started, I recommended BlueHost to them as a good option for beginners. However, these people seem to have done their homework before talking to me. So, they asked, How about going for managed WordPress hosting offered by BlueHost? Now, that got my attention because if these people were allocating their budget for managed WordPress hosting service, I better take them seriously. If my company is offering managed WordPress hosting service, why should my friends think of somebody else, right? So, I compared features that Krishna World Wide Hosting offers with other managed WordPress hosting offers by companies like BlueHost, GoDaddy, DreamHost etc. and then I compared their prices with that of ours. Once I knew what my customers get v

Starting your own website doesn t seem to be rocket science and, it s not. But, having a plan in place to launch, knowing exactly what to do before and after the launch is very important for your success. How Do You Work With An Unaccountable Leader?

What You Should Know About Email Open Rates

The success of your email marketing depends on how many people open your email. Obviously there is no point in sending emails to those who don’t even open your emails, right? Email open rates seem to be an important metric for many internet marketers. In fact, I have been very diligently following email open rates for a long time. But, it changed after my friend and a fellow entrepreneur, Adrian Jock helped me understand this correctly. His post helped me understand this concept and then I did my own little experiment to test the theory. The results were inline with what I had thought. I am going to get into this subject just in a minute. However, let’s understand what is an email open rate from a layman’s perspective. What Is An Email Open Rate? Email open rate is a measurement of how many people on your email list open a particular email. The email open rate is usually shown in percentage. How About Having A Not-To-Do List?

Everybody seems to talk of “To-Do-List” and I had shared about it earlier when I shared how I manage my list as well. However, having a “Not-To-Do” list is equally important, if not more so, because I have been in situations recently where there are more things lined up for me to act upon while I am not yet done with my current task at hand. Situations like this bring frustration. What I noticed with experience is, as we get better at doing our work effectively, we also attract more and more attention from others and that means more assignments. If you have been employed, you know it’s true because the more you quality you deliver, the more is expected of you. If you have a business, you would have noticed, the more happy your existing customers, the more new clients you get. That means more work for you. While more work usually means growth, it also means that our time is limited and if we aren’t wise about managing our time, success may bring more frustrations than happi

5 Principles Of Successful Brand Building

When you think branding, do you think of a logo, an advertisement on TV, radio or on the internet? You are not alone if you do that because branding is yet another misinterpreted and misunderstood  word. Branding is usually identified with the practice of putting a symbol on a thing to indicate ownership. Companies have used their logos on the products they sell and campaigned to imprint their logs in people s minds. Do You Need A Logo For Personal Branding? Recently, a gentleman sent me a review of my blog design and proposed that he could give me a better design and a better navigation for about $500. Well, he should have known that I undertake web designing projects myself and I have been doing that work for a while now. Had he taken time to go to my profile, he would have figured that out. But, that is a different issue for another time. In his remarks, he was pleased that I have a logo on my website good for branding. About that, I am still not sure if that is really a good thin

How To Get Up Early And Get An Enormous Edge Over Rest Of The World

What time do you get up on Saturdays and Sundays? Why your weekends? Well, that is because I wanted you to know what time you get up on your own when you have a choice to sleep more. Those who know me know that I am an early riser (if not super early.) I go to bed after midnight and I am up around 6 AM (working to notch it up to 5 AM,) every single day. Not because I hate sleeping, but because I believe I can do better than that. An Early Childhood Practice Early in my childhood, I saw my dad getting up at 4 AM every day without exception. In fact, he was the alarm clock for my family. He would work for the government from 9 to 5, take care of our farm (yes, we did have cattle and we did not buy milk,) at night and in early morning, and then he would sit down with us to make sure we did our homework before he left for his duty. Launched in January 2004, Google s first social media venture, Orkut is shutting down on September 30, 2014. Later on, as Google launched its new social networking website Google+, I moved all my stuff from Orkut to Google+. Well, we knew that the end for Orkut was near as soon as Google plus was launched.
