Andy James's insight:

The body cannot do without omega-3 fatty acids, hence it is dubbed 'essential', crucial more like, if you ask me! An optimal dose of omega-3 fats is enough to keep the brain healthy.

Keeping the brain healthy is vital as we age. We cannot do anything about getting older, but there are certain things we can do, certain things we can take (like krill oil, which are high in omega-3's) and certain paths we can follow, that will make getting older that much easier.

This includes warding off diseases like dementia and Alzheimer's, which are directly linked to breakdown in brain tissue. Protect your brain with omega-3 fatty acids and your brain will thank you.

The findings are presented in the Journal of Internal Medicine, and strengthen the evidence that omega-3 may benefit certain forms of this seriously debilitating disease.
