What is a Transformational Leader and How Can I Become One? | Knowledge Management | Scoop.it

Knoco stories: Some addenda to Snowden's 7 KM principles | Knowledge Management | Scoop.it

David Snowden's landmark blog post in 2008 was an important event in developing a common understanding of Knowledge Management. By introducing his 7 principles, David reminded us that Knowledge is a difficult, personal attribute, not easy of recall, nor of extraction, nor of codification. These principles are widely quoted, often (sadly) without the commentary found in the original article, which adds considerably to the understanding of the principles.

10 Awesome Free Tools To Make Infographics

10 Awesome Free Tools To Make Infographics | Knowledge Management | Scoop.it

Maybe you want create your own infographic, here 10 tools to support you to do it. [note mg]

Information graphics, visual representations of data known as infographics, keep the web going these days. Web users, with their diminishing attention spans, are inexorably drawn to these shiny, brightly coloured messages with small, relevant, clearly-displayed nuggets of information. They’re straight to the point, usually factually interesting and often give you a wake-up call as to what those statistics really mean.

Who can resist a colourful, thoughtful venn diagram anyway? In terms of blogging success, infographics are far more likely to be shared than your average blog post. This means more eyeballs on your important information, more people rallying for your cause, more backlinks and more visits to your blog. In short, a quality infographic done well could be what your blog needs right now.

A new framework for supporting learning and performance in the social workplace | Social Enterprise Today

A new framework for supporting learning and performance in the social workplace | Social Enterprise Today | Knowledge Management | Scoop.it

Social tools are changing not only the way that professionals are working and learning but also the way that organisations are transforming into social businesses. In the new connected workplace, current training, e-learning or blended learning services, which take a top-down, ”command and control” approach to organising and managing “learning” will not be appropriate to support these new ways of working and learning. What will be required is a completely new range of services – which we might call non-training services – that are focused on supporting continuous performance improvement and learning in the workflow as people do their jobs.

IBM Study: If You Don't Have a Social CEO, You're Going to be Less Competitive - Forbes | Knowledge Management | Scoop.it
The list of the world’s CEOs regularly includes celebrities, billionaires, big egos, risk takers, and failures. What it does not include are social media experts; but that’s about to change.

CEOs are beginning to recognize that using email and the phone to get the message out isn’t sufficient anymore.

Using social technologies to engage with customers, suppliers and employees will enable the organization to be more adaptive and agile.
