Mónica Díaz's insight:

“The boundaries between and within departments separated knowledge gained domestically from knowledge gained overseas; knowledge gained through human intelligence from knowledge gained electronically; and knowledge gained through the investigation of criminal conduct from knowledge gained for the purposes of situational awareness as general intelligence … each boundary amounted to a fault line, an opportunity for the system to fail.”

Knoco stories: Why KM is not "all about people"

Knoco stories: Why KM is not "all about people" | KM trends | Scoop.it

Knowledge Management and ISO 9001:2015 | KM trends | Scoop.it
The inclusion of Knowledge Management within the recently released ISO 9001:2015 marks a huge change within the world of KM. For the first time, one of the global business standards explicitly mentions knowledge as a resource, and specifies expectations for the management of that resource. This provides a long-awaited level of legitimacy for KM which […]

What is knowledge transfer?

What is knowledge transfer? | KM trends | Scoop.it
It’s all about the transfer of tangible and intellectual property, expertise, learning and skills between academia and the non-academic community. It’s also well recognised by government and funders as an important return on the UK’s investment in academic research, one that provides a significant driving force for enhancing economic growth and societal wellbeing. For academics, KT can be a way of gaining new perspectives on possible directions and approaches for research. This two-way exchange element of KT is at the heart of successful and sustainable collaboration.

What do I DO about learning?

What do I DO about learning? | KM trends | Scoop.it
I talk a lot about learning on this blog. Because in my definition of knowledge management, it's a central part. So the equation is KM = CDL.
