THE BRITISH PHONOGRAPHIC INDUSTRY (BPI) has written to the UK Pirate Party and asked it to shut down its proxy server for The Pirate Bay.

The Party began offering the proxy server when The Pirate Bay was blocked by the main UK Internet service providers, and it is now, for many, their only route to the website.
