Pierre Priot's insight:

Music sales are going up 6.2% in Spain this semester. First sales raise since 2001. From our own experience, the Spanish audience is highly supported and has totally embraced the digital revolution.

I like the idea is using since people already use youtube for a major source in music streaming. Them taking the spotify route is a good idea  because its bringing more access to one site instead of have to use 2 diffrent sites or apps almost like when instagram started doin videos  what do i need to use vine for now. Youtube doing this is a great step for them but might hurt other site such as spotify or pandora being that you can do everything from youtube once they launch this feature.

Jonathan Magee's curator insight, December 4, 2013 1:42 PM

Youtube will provide two new services in 2014, YouTube Music  and Beats Music (which is a streaming service that allows users to tap into their camera roll to access personal media). Both services have been introduced to record labels behind the scenes to positive and even negative reactions and possibility that good things may come from this endeavor maybe not.
