Not quite amateur radio.  But this could provide an alternative for those who can't erect antennas or feel too restricted by HOAs and CC&Rs.  Aloha de KH6JRM.

Think of this project as "spring cleaning" with a radio touch.  On 08 March 2014, forty high school and univesity students from the Cincinnati, Ohio area helped clean the VOA Museum of Broadcasting during its annual "Work Day."  VOA Museum Executive Director Jack Dominic said, "We had a huge turnout of voluntees and muscle power."  Dominic added that the museum needs volunteers for data entry, its docent training program, archiving historical materials, and light maintenance duties.  For more information, visit http://www.voamuseum.org.  Aloha de Russ (KH6JRM).

Here's the latest post from my Amateur Radio Antenna Topics Blog (http://kh6jrm.blogspot.com).  In this post I explain what two seemingly unrelated decisions by the FCC and Ofcom (UK communications regulator) could possibly do to Amateur Radio.  Both regulatory agencies are reassigning rf spectrum to meet the growing consumer demand for broadband services.  Amateur radio has already lost a portion of the 2.3 GHz and 3.4 GHz bands in the UK.  Similar rulings could be made in the U.S.  Aloha de Russ (KH6JRM).
