Fifteen people were arrested this morning in Boynton Beach by federal agents who believe they are part of a multi-state prescription drug trafficking ring that was led by four Palm Beach County residents.

A multi-state prescription drug trafficking ring believed to have been led by four Palm Beach County residents has resulted in the arrest of 15 people in Boynton Beach. It is reported that the ring stemmed from a Broward County pain clinic from which illegal prescription drugs were sold in Florida pharmacies and in other states. A spokesperson for Miami’s Drug Enforcement Agency said a total of 45 individuals have been indicted, but agents are hoping to arrest 36 by today.

He also possessed an unregistered short-barreled shot gun, a violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 2252(a)(4)(B) and Title 26, United States Code, section 5861(d). The 55-year-old man is being charged with possession of material involving the sexual exploitation of minors and illegal possession of a firearm.

Families get no closure as a slow legal process lets a boater who killed two flee the country. TREASURE ISLAND — On a sunny afternoon in 2005, a boat barreled through the waters near John's Pass and collided with a personal watercraft.

Two people riding a personal watercraft were killed when a boat crashed into them. The boat's driver allegedly tried to run away but was stopped by another boater. Police discovered almost one dozen opened bottles of beer inside the boat, and noticed the man had bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. The suspect refused a sobriety test and was released without arrest. After a long investigation, authorities obtained warrants to charge the man with manslaughter but by then the suspect had fled. The parents of one of the victims blame the authorities for failing to arrest the suspect immediately.

As a result of an aggressive investigation, the 11 cases the men were involved with have ended in more than 70 charges. Jacksonville police report at least $200,000 in graffiti damage during the last two years.

The man said the animal was dead when he threw the cage, but a necropsy indicated the dog likely drowned in the cage. However, the necropsy could not prove this so the man was charged only with unlawful disposal of a dead animal.
