Kendrick Lamar - "Control Freestyle (Kendrick Verse Only)

Kendrick ABSOLUTELY KILLED EVERYTHING Download @ http://latenightcreep.com/2013/08/13/kendrick-lamar-no-i-d-freestyle-kendrick-verse-only-download-or-listen/...
Jermaine Johnson's insight:

This is what started it all bringing real Hip-Hop back. When Kendrick droped this verse it was up in the air if it was a diss or if kendrick was telling everyone to step their game up because he is trying to be the best in the game. Ether way this verse became very controversy and grabbed everyone's attention.

Cheerful Drake Responds to Kendrick Lamar "Control" Verse

Cheerful Drake Responds to Kendrick Lamar "Control" Verse | Kendrick Lamar "Control Verse" | Scoop.it
"Sounded like an ambitious thought to me," Drake says.

Jermaine Johnson's insight:

With what Drake said in his interview for Kendrick pretty much wanting a come up ill have to disagree on that. Kendrick is killing the game right now and everyone knows that. Out of that entire list i believe Drake is the only one that can go blow to blow with Kendrick because he has the resume sick bars and a strong core fan base. I'm not sure if Drake is scared of going to battle with Kendrick because Kendrick can be a serious threat cause we all know Drake took shots towards Common with no hesitation.

Jermaine Johnson's insight:

I really like what Kendrick is doing here. He alone brought back the competivie side of hip hop back but without the violence. The thing about Kendrick doing this is that a lot of people recognize Kendrick as one of the best rappers out right now currently in his prime.

Pros: Bring back the competiton in Hip-Hop a lot of people have already responded to Kendrick "Control" verse.

Cons: It can end his career if he cant keep up witht he hype and pressure of the talent that's going to be coming after him. Like how MCs feel from grace before such as Ja Rule to 50 and T.I and Lil Flip.

I am glad that Kendrick dropped his control verse. He went back to the main essence of hip-hop that everyone fell in love with. But at the same time he shouldn't have disrespected an entire coast, nevertheless he killed the game.

PROs: Brought hip-hop back to its original state and he made people want to rap again.

CONs: He stirred up alot of people and caused up roar and beef as well.

The young artist made sure everyone knew his name after he shoked the industry with his verse on Big Seans "Control". It is a new hit single by Big Sean Ft. Kendrick Lamar, and Jay Electronica. On this track Kendrick called out the top rappers in the game by name. What he did was bring real Hip-Hop back. In my opinion this is exactly what the industry needed, rappers in this era started to get comfortable and lost their hunger. Leave it to Mr.Lamar to give them a wake up call.

Marcellus Gail's curator insight, January 19, 2014 9:25 PM

Slightly new rapper (Kendrick Lamar) is calling people out on song with him, Big Sean, and Jay Electronica. He uses verbal assault to make the world feel what he is feeling and it works. After the song was dropped, the raido went nuts.

After his performance at the tenth annual Rock The Bells Festival in Los Angeles this week, Revolt TV caught up with Big K.R.I.T.
Jermaine Johnson's insight:

Big Krit was one of the MCs that Kendrick called out in his verse on "Control". Big Krit did not look at the verse as an diss but instead as an promotion thanks to Kendrick a lot of people that was sleeping on Krit looked up his music to see  who he was and found out that he is a sick lyrcist and is up their with the best.
