How one company came to master the business of storytelling | Transmedia Storytelling meets Tourism

Karen Dietz's insight:
Kathy Klotz-Guest's insight:
Why does Disney continue to be a media juggernaut? Why does Star Wars still leave us hungry for more all these yearslater? This article is a great piece that highlights the importance of greatstorytelling in modern myth-making. It's not about technology; it's about the underlying story that speaks to a fundamentally human need about identity, belonging, hope, and redemption. While technology changes, human beings don't. Star Wars continues to capture our imagination because it speaks to redemption, rebirth and identity. Oh, yeah, and bonus: the special effects are awesome, too!

How to create a narrative for your business

How to create a narrative for your business | Just Story It! Biz Storytelling | Scoop.it
Never underestimate the power of a good story, especially when it comes to powerful business tools, says Alison Esse of The Storytellers
Lianne Picot's insight:

Very good article articulating why it's so important to create a narrative your team can understand and buy into. Lots of the usual rationale but a very good practical 6 step strategy for getting yourself there. I always like seeing people who work in organizational change make this process simple.
