This is a four-part PBS series that aired in 2004. It is narrated by Michael Wood. Wood describes the documentary as "A historical detective story." The documentary is filmed on location and offers a wealth of information and history about the bard. Suitable for Level 6 and up.

This is a short article describing an early edition of the Greek history which includes Julius Caesar. This article speculates that Shakespeare did research on the play using this work.Perhaps it was a source of information and inspiration for the Great Bard of Avon?

This is Episode 3 from the BBC series, "Ancient Rome: The Rise and Fall of An Empire," produced in 2006 as a docudrama. This is a 43 minute video which is a video biography of the man immortalised in the play. It is well researched and includes short interview clips with Roman History scholars. There is a moderate amount of violent scenes but should be suitable for a Level 10 classroom.

Julius Caesar was born in 100 BCE and was also born in Rome. His full name is Gaius Julius Caesar Octavianus Augustus. He was assassinated.
