In Joel Barker's book Paradigms, he defines a paradigm as ones perception of reality. Presenters are stuck giving presentations the way they do because that is the only way they believe a presentation will be accepted. Trying something different would be like a quarterback using a catchers mitt it wouldnt match their perception of reality.
