Thanks for letting me know - I see great value in this. If it gets children writing and loving the process, it's a win-win.

Journaling app brings beautiful digital journals to iOS

California based Kabuki Vision, LLC today introduces Journaling 1.0, a new app for iOS that allows for the easy creation of beautiful journals and diaries on the iPhone and iPad.

Featuring a simple attractive design, Journaling allows for rich journal entries that contain photos, drawings, headings, and lists. Entries can be customized with a variety of attractive backgrounds and fonts, and the app syncs with Dropbox and Google Drive for convenient sharing across devices.

Via prmac
Sharilee Swaity's insight:

I don't have an i-phone or i-pad myself, but for those that do, this app looks like a very "pretty" way to journal with a smartphone. I think one major drawback of using a phone to journal has been the "ugliness" of it, and this app seems to really overcome that barrier well.

For fellow teachers, very interesting idea for creating classroom journals, with pictures and templates included. First, all information goes on left side of notebook, which is things learned in class. On the other side, goes the student's reaction and creativity to it.

This is like a notebook and journal combined! Neat approach.

Sharon Bakar's curator insight, August 4, 2013 10:50 PM

The Artists Way is a life-changing book. But you can't just buy it and leave it on the shelf. You can't just dip into it and do the bits you want. If you can do the exercises set over the 12 weeks (inc 30 mins of The Morning Pages a day), your life will change. That damn book The Secret promises something like this. This book actually delivers.

If you do want to do this course in a book, find running mates. There is also a course online at Writers Village University - I found this great because we were all anonymous and therefore didn't care how much of ourselves we revealed.
