An interesting exploration of the connection between handwriting and academic success. Yes, it does seem that kids who hand write do better in school, overall. 

It makes me wonder how many people like the "feel" of handwriting in their journal, as opposed to simply typing out a journal. I, myself, still like the feeling of writing out my emotional state. What about you?

 Journal set up!!! I began this journal with my classroom rule. I use Whole Brain Teaching. There are 5 simple rules. You can read more about Whole Brain Teaching here. Then I added the table of Contents.

For fellow teachers, very interesting idea for creating classroom journals, with pictures and templates included. First, all information goes on left side of notebook, which is things learned in class. On the other side, goes the student's reaction and creativity to it. 

 

This is like a notebook and journal combined! Neat approach.
