Vacancy: West of Scotland Regional Equality Council: Development Officer (Glasgow)

Development Officer (26.5 hours per week)

£22,500 per annum pro rata

Funded by Heritage Lottery Fund until June 2014

West of Scotland Regional Equality Council are looking for an individual who is passionate about multicultural diversity and wants to support a the preservation of Glasgow’s diverse minority ethnic communities for future generations. You will be working with diverse places of worship and community organisations to organise volunteers to collect oral histories from diverse communities in the West End of the city and also to design and promote heritage walks around this area in partnership with local organisations

SAY Women is a voluntary organisation which provides supported accommodation and related services for young women survivors of childhood sexual abuse and rape/sexual assault who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

 FEMALE ADMINISTRATOR (Maternity Leave Cover 8 months)

 

We are looking for someone who has an ability to work on own initiative, excellent organisational skills, experience of running a small office and general administrative routines but also doesn’t mind doing very basic tasks.

 

Salary: AP.1 (£16,818) pro rata 28 hours per week

Food Hub Activator  

Will inspire, co-ordinate and deliver food related activity within our Food Hub areas ensuring  an increased consumption of fruit and vegetables, more healthy eating sessions and cookery classes. Enable community engagement. Enable a joined up approach between our own services and food related work with local organisations. You can expect to work in any of our Food Hub areas including Possilpark and Maryhill but initially in Milton.

 

Hours: 35 hours per week working flexibly with some evening and weekend working. funded initially to 31st March 2014

Temporary Part-Time Communications Officer

Mat Leave Cover up to 12 months

21 hours per week based in Glasgow

£20,383 per annum (pro-rata)

 

An exciting opportunity has come about to cover a period of maternity leave, and make a contribution to a 21st century charity, which makes a real difference and improves life chances for difficult and chaotic young people across Scotland. 

 

As Communications Officer you will be required to generate and distribute a range of information and promotional materials for different target audiences in line with our Communications Strategy and to play a key role telling the story of Includem’s day-to-day work and successes. 

 

As well as being able to prepare and develop news content and case studies, the Communication Officer is accountable in terms of the management of the Includem website and social media platforms.   

 

If you are interested in this opportunity you must be educated to degree level (or equivalent) and have experience in producing high quality communications material.  Excellent IT skills with exceptional proficiency in using Microsoft Office are essential as well as having an excellent understanding of the benefits and risks of social media.   Strong interpersonal skills, an ability to build positive working relationships with Includem Staff and external partners alongside excellent project management and organisation skills are of equal importance.  You should be able to demonstrate management of changing priorities and work tasks to meet deadlines.  Applicants must be flexible to be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be willing to travel to other Includem Offices.
