How can Beijing view London's air pollution, if they have one the worst air pollution in China?1
Jessica Meyers's comment, April 26, 2013 10:58 AM
I think China wants to make themselves feel better and make people think that London is worse than them
Becca Kolenkiewicz's comment, April 29, 2013 11:02 AM
Beijing just has really bad air pollution and London is very popular for tourists so they are making people think its bad there, when its actually bad air in Beijing.

People tend to ignore these things until it becomes a serious issue
Austin Groeneveld's comment, April 26, 2013 11:01 AM
Probably Cailyn. Hopefully people will start to become more aware of the harm that pollution causes.
Becca Kolenkiewicz's comment, April 29, 2013 11:04 AM
Most people ignore side effects because they don't think anything bad will happen to them.

Alexandra, I think to initiate change, it's easier to convince people with hard numbers. Some people don't even believe hard data when it's in front of them.
Julian Martin's comment, April 26, 2013 10:57 AM
I think air pollution is increasing cancer, because they're chemicals in the air that we breathe in everyday.
Becca Kolenkiewicz's comment, April 29, 2013 11:05 AM
I agree with Julian 100%! The air is filled with pollutents that are causing cancer and killing so many people.

it is so wrong to blame China's pollution on Japan. Just because they are almost in the same continent doesn't mean that it should prove responsible.
Austin Groeneveld's comment, April 26, 2013 11:04 AM
It seems logical that air pollution is increasing due to the dying of trees. Hopefully they'll start to plant more trees to reverse this on-going problem.

Cailyn Pacuraru's comment, April 26, 2013 11:03 AM
I agree with Alexandra. I think people dying because of the air their breathing rather than from and actual disease should really make people stop and think about pollution. Also, almost 200 governments have agreed to work out a deal to combat climate change by 2015.
