A group that is fighting a feedlot near Minidoka Historic Site is trying to raise money for its legal fees.

Today there was a National Day that was remembrance by the Japanese American Internment. They are protecting Internment camp in Idaho that’s fighting the construction. Trying to get the Ones that they think don’t belong there to move somewhere else. The lawsuit will stall construction of the feedlot since 2011. Both the Trust and the park service warned of potential negative impacts on the camp from the dairy operation. In response, a coalition filed a lawsuit against the county last November. A judge will hear the case this spring.

The Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor on December 7th, 1941. Wanting President Roosevelt to take action to the japanese that is living in the U.S. There was a order on Febuary 19th 1942 that was signed by Roosevelt. Because of the term 12,000 Japans had to move from there homes in U.S in move to the internment camps. The camp was guarded by the military. In 1943 who refused were sent to Tula Lake. January 1945 internees was allowed to go back to they homes in the U.S.
