Le jeu est motivant par le défi qu'il propose, c'est ce levier d'apprentissage qui ouvre la porte à de belles perspectives en lien avec le "Problem Based Learning" ou le "Case Based Learning"

Elaine J Roberts, Ph.D.'s curator insight, January 25, 2015 11:45 PM

"Students who have grown up in the current school system are used to being told exactly what they need to do in order to succeed. But the emphasis on grades and college can sometimes have the unintended consequence of making learning all about achieving an external goal and not about the learning itself." True. So when we teach kids the importance of asking questions and how to learn to ask the better questions, we work towards ensuring our students are learning how to learn.

Jennifer Snapp's curator insight, July 31, 2015 8:37 PM

I chose this article because it highlights why we should change our mind shift about how children learn in school. The traditional method is not working in many public school systems and more parents are starting to homeschool and unschool their children so that will become independent learners who are able to think critically. I would like for others to think about rethinking the way we teach our students in the traditional manner and allow them to take charge of their learning.

EdTechTeam: The How (and Why) It's Time to Create Digital Portfolios

EdTechTeam: The How (and Why) It's Time to Create Digital Portfolios | ITC | Scoop.it
Digital Student Portfolios are becoming more important now than ever! Students are creating and remixing information like never before – and where is all that amazing work going? At my old school it was wiped off the devices at the end of the year – a heart-wrenching idea that I was personally against. This is why we need to publish student work in one place and let it serve as a home of student reflection, and a become a destination to unleash student pride and curiosity.

There are many reasons to begin the journey to digital portfolios – here are just a few.

How To Find Openly Licensed Educational Resources You Can Use [Infographic] | ITC | Scoop.it
Most of us turn to the internet when we are looking for resources to use for a presentation, report or article. The internet holds the key to so many robust resources.

Yet how many of these resources can you legally use for free? How many of them can you adapt?

That’s where Open Educational Resources (OER) can help. Here’s an infographic from the Center for Open Educational Resources and Language Learning (at the University of Texas at Austin) that can help.

Curate or Die: Why You Must Curate Content in 2015

Curate or Die: Why You Must Curate Content in 2015 | ITC | Scoop.it

Guillaume Decugis's curator insight, January 24, 2015 3:23 AM

It's interesting to see that content curation is evolving from an opportunity to a necessity as communication shifts from traditional methods (PR, advertising, old-style SEO...) to new ones (content marketing, inbound marketing, social media...). In this new world of communication many things have changed and professionals or companies who want to get heard need to consider this question:

Do people listen to you because they have to or because they want to?

As my friend Steve Rosenbaum, author of Curation Nation, puts it in his latest book, Curate This, we can't rely anymore on captive audiences. Consumers filter out spammy messages which is why, to be heard, we have to curate or die.

Marta Torán's curator insight, January 26, 2015 3:46 PM
