Its largest store worldwide in Galleria Vittorio Emanuele...
Following the legal battle for the former McDonald’s space in Milan’s historical Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, in the heart of the city – Prada has won the tender for the space, which the House will develop into its largest store worldwide, covering 5.000 sqm on 8 floors.
Considering the location, this is a strategic location for Prada in Milan, opposite to its existing store, which was also the first store in the history of the House. Prada announced it will support the costs for the Christmas decorations of Galleria and will be actively involved in supporting the Christmas fair taking place from December 1st to January 6 on the premises of Galleria and the Duomo square.

In 2008, Tabberer produced her first book about falling in love with this seductive stretch of Italian coastline that runs from Vietri to Positano. My Amalfi Coast was a highly praised and highly personal travel guide that couldn't fit all she knew about the food of the area. So she saved her recipes for her just-released second book, Amalfi Coast Recipes, a picture-perfect showcase of the region's wonderful produce and endearing personalities, who happen to be her friends.
La Dolce Vita (1960) Federico Fellini’s masterpiece, starring Marcello Mastroianni and Anita Ekberg, introduced the world to the term paparazzo as it revealed the decadent Rome of the 1950s. Gucci and The Film Foundation funded its digital restoration in 2010.

From Michelangelo to Giotto, the exquisite art in one of the world's most beautiful cities costs nothing – if you know where to look.
Late afternoon in Florence and suddenly the sky veers from luminous blue to blushing orange. The light on the Duomo changes in an instant. Brunelleschi's iconic dome burns a deep terracotta. The white, green and pink marble of Giotto's bell tower is incandescent. An Italian sign on the steps of the cathedral says, rather dryly, that "this is a work of art and everyone has the right to admire it". Not to stand and stare would be rude.
On the 21st February 2009 I photographed the wedding of the daughter of Ferruccio Ferragamo, president of Salvatore Ferragamo. The wedding was held at the Tuscan estate Il Borro which is owner by her father.
Il Borro is located between Arezzo and Florence, nestled in the hills it is a very quiet location that consists of the medieval village of Il Borro, the padronal villa and surrounding properties which are all part of the Ferragamo estate. The villa is surrounded by the vineyards that produce the excellent wines that stock the magnificent cellars.
Penélope Cruz has officially made her debut in Campari's 2013 "Kiss Superstition Goodbye" calendar.
Penélope Cruz has officially made her debut in Campari's 2013 "Kiss Superstition Goodbye" calendar. The Italian spirits brand released 13 images from the limited-edition annual yesterday, all of which feature the Oscar-winning actress participating in superstitious acts like breaking mirrors, walking under ladders, opening umbrellas indoors, and more. Penélope was announced as the calendar's star back in August, and she got to work shooting the then-secret theme in Milan.
In Italian we call it Vino Novello, which literally mean new wine (novello being an arcaic Italian way of saying “new”). What is it, though?
Vino Novello it’s a red wine produced mostly in North Italy and it comes on our tables on November 11th, on Saint Martin’s day. What is it? The first wine process from the grape harvest of September.
The wine that results from the winemaking is very low in tannins, fruity and fresh, as it lacks the structure for long-term aging. In the most extreme case like Vino Novello or Beaujolais nouveau, the period between picking and bottling can be less than six weeks.
The Vino Novello is produced in most regions, although the production is very common especially in Veneto, Trentino Alto Adige and Tuscany. The grape varieties used for the Novello are: Merlot, Cabernet, Montepulciano and Barbera, although sometime a Novello is made with only one variety.
Tod’s launch also an application for iPad and iPhone dedicated to the book: a multimedia journey through the real Italian Style, perfectly represented by the personalities of the book and has its origins in Made in Italy and in the value of “handmade” and craftsmanship; a choice of unostentatious elegance and respect for the past and one’s roots.
These timeless values are part of a lifestyle and culture which, while modern and cosmopolitan, is also strongly engrained in Italy and reveals, today than ever before, its appeal and significance.

I don’t know if you can have a conversation about great, modern Italian directors without mentioning Silvio Soldini. In the US he’s mostly known for my favorite movie of all time, Pane e Tulipani (Bread and Tulips), and I think he’s sometimes considered a lightweight and that Bread and Tulips is entertaining but unsubstantial. I disagree; it’s brilliant filmmaking and I’ve watched it a hundred times, always seeing or thinking something new in it.
