The Polder Consortium helps organizations build the capacity to collaborate through clarity, trust, and interoperation.

The Language Development and Bible Movements are fundamentally about seeing people, communities, countries, and the world transformed through the power of critical truths communicated in the language of the heart. This is an aspiration that cannot be realized without well orchestrated collaboration. However, "operationalizing" collaborative strategies in multi-cultural and multi-organizational partnerships requires focus, understanding, clear communication, and trust; things that can be challenging to establish.

Web Design and the gospel of Christ

Web Design and the gospel of Christ | Technology in Missions | Scoop.it

An SIM missionary from Australia is using web design to introduce Peruvians to Christ, and fund literacy and Bible courses half a world away.

Two years ago David Jeyachandran gave up a lucrative job in software development to join SIM. With his wife, Christine, and their three young children, he moved to the southern Peruvian city of Arequipa, and was soon helping to lead the local student ministry. His hope was to use his background in IT to reach a specific people group, web developers, with the gospel.

Jaco Devisser's insight:

Thanks to Mary, a friend we met at SIM in Toronto in October 2012, for sharing this link.

A salient example is Google’s announcement in June 2012 about their plan to start the Endangered Languages Project, a website for people to find and share the most up-to-date and comprehensive information about endangered languages. The Google blog describes the purpose of the project as follows:

Purpose Statement

At its core, Bytes of Faith consulting ministry wants to see God's church established and reproducing. This will only happen as God's people are mobilized to engage the unreached. Our vision is to support this critical enterprise by challenging God's people to be involved in what He is doing. We seek to connect with organizations throughout Southeast Asia by providing technology consulting, training, and support services. We believe that through these connections, a global network of servants willing to heed God's call to be involved can be built.
