11 Storyboarding Apps To Organize & Inspire Young Writers ~ TeachThought

11 Storyboarding Apps To Organize & Inspire Young Writers ~ TeachThought | IT, Design and Communication | Scoop.it

"For students who dread writing class, a blank page can look a lot like a ten-foot monolith; an imposing, empty slate towering over their homework list. Visual storytelling is one way to break students out of writer’s block, and storyboarding apps are a pre-packaged strategy you can use to bring images to the narrative. Whether your students are afraid of writing or you’re simply looking for a way to break up a brainstorming session, these 10 storyboarding apps for iOS and Android devices can help inspire–and organize–students of any age.

"The best part might be the flexibility of these apps. While they can be used for strict storyboarding in the creation of fiction, they can also be used for other tasks, including documenting project-based learning, sharing assignments, or capturing research notes."

Responsive Web Design Infographic: Benefits and Pitfalls

Responsive Web Design Infographic: Benefits and Pitfalls | IT, Design and Communication | Scoop.it

People are increasingly using mobile devices like tablets and smartphones to browse the Web. The variety of screen sizes, resolutions, and platforms people use to access webpages has given birth to the rise of responsive Web design, where developers create one single site to function properly across all devices instead of producing multiple dedicated site designs to work with particular screen sizes and platforms.

Here is an overview of the changing climate of Web devices, followed by tips for evaluating whether or not you should implement a responsive design.

PR Jargon and What it Really Means | March Communications | IT, Design and Communication | Scoop.it

Playing golf this past weekend with one of my best friends made me realize that, for almost every activity, profession or hobby around, there’s jargon that comes with them. What the hell is a “mulligan?” What does it mean when you “slice” your shot? The world of public relations is no different.
