How to Make Love to a Woman - PDF Free Download - Fox eBook | IT Books Free Share | Scoop.it
How to Make Love to a Woman PDF Download, Reviews, Read Online, ISBN: 1626361576, By Xaviera Hollander
Fox eBook's insight:

How to Make Love to a Woman: 69 Orgasmic Ways to Have Mind-Blowing Sex

Bestselling “sexpert” Xaviera Hollander’s guide on how to pleasure the woman in your life.

Xaviera Hollander may not have invented sex, but she is certainly one of its most outspoken proponents. Her book The Happy Hooker has sold more than sixteen million copies worldwide and continues to captivate new readers with its humor, its zest for life, and, above all, its downright honesty. She followed the success of her book with her monthly sex advice column for Penthouse, “Call Me Madam,” which helped readers find fulfillment in bed for almost thirty years.

How to Make Love to a Woman takes hard-earned knowledge and puts it to excellent use, helping couples to experience the same mind-blowing pleasure that Xaviera has received and given for years. With a sense of fun and a knowing yet accessible voice, Xaviera gives readers specific suggestions on how to spice things up in the bedroom. She writes from a woman’s perspective, noting that her favorite sexual act has four letters and ends with “k.” (Surprise: it’s “talk.”) Some of the suggestions include, “Pleasure her with her own toys,” “Practice verbal bondage,” and “Make home movies.” With Xaviera as a muse and guide, this unique playbook promises to be a go-to Saturday night special! 30 black-and-white illustrations

Agile Web Development with Rails 4 - PDF Free Download - Fox eBook

Agile Web Development with Rails 4 - PDF Free Download - Fox eBook | IT Books Free Share | Scoop.it
Agile Web Development with Rails 4 PDF Download, Reviews, Read Online, ISBN: 1937785564, By Dave Thomas, David Heinemeier Hansson, Sam Ruby
Fox eBook's insight:

Rails just keeps on changing. Both Rails 3 and 4, as well as Ruby 1.9 and 2.0, bring hundreds of improvements, including new APIs and substantial performance enhancements. The fourth edition of this award-winning classic has been reorganized and refocused so it’s more useful than ever before for developers new to Ruby and Rails.

Rails 4 introduces a number of user-facing changes, and the ebook has been updated to match all the latest changes and new best practices in Rails. This includes full support for Ruby 2.0, controller concerns, Russian Doll caching, strong parameters, Turbolinks, new test and bin directory layouts, and much more.

Ruby on Rails helps you produce high-quality, beautiful-looking web applications quickly. You concentrate on creating the application, and Rails takes care of the details.

Tens of thousands of developers have used this award-winning book to learn Rails. It’s a broad, far-reaching tutorial and reference that’s recommended by the Rails core team. If you’re new to Rails, you’ll get step-by-step guidance. If you’re an experienced developer, this book will give you the comprehensive, insiderinformation you need.

Rails has evolved over the years, and this book has evolved along with it. We still start with a step-by-step walkthrough of building a real application, and in-depth chapters look at the built-in Rails features. This edition now gives new Ruby and Rails users more information on the Ruby language and takes more time to explain key concepts throughout. Best practices on how to apply Rails continue to change, and this edition keeps up. Examples use Concerns, Russian Doll caching, and Turbolinks, and the book focuses throughout on the right way to use Rails. Additionally, this edition now works on Ruby 2.0, a new release of Ruby with substantial functional and performance improvements.

This edition is for Rails4.0 and beyond.

The Coding Dojo Handbook - PDF Free Download - Fox eBook

The Coding Dojo Handbook - PDF Free Download - Fox eBook | IT Books Free Share | Scoop.it
The Coding Dojo Handbook PDF Download, Reviews, Read Online, ISBN: , By Emily Bache
Fox eBook's insight:

This book is full of practical advice and ideas for practicing skills such as test-driven development, refactoring, and pair programming. Perhaps you’re a team lead, and you’d like to promote good practices among your team colleagues. Maybe you lead a programming language user group and you’re looking for a fun hands-on activity to do at meetings, or are planning a brown bag lunch series at work. This book gives you all the advice you need to get your own group started.

Included is a catalogue of “Kata” coding exercises that you can try, and advice about how to choose one for your particular situation. You’ll learn various collaborative coding games, which can be a fun way to introduce a serious discussion about software design or development processes. Test-driven development is one of the key skills you’ll want to practice in the Coding Dojo, so there’s also a straightforward description of TDD you can use to explain it. Throughout the book are little “Dojo Disaster” anecdotes. They illustrate when things have gone less than perfectly, and how you can avoid such mistakes.

A dojo is a fun and rewarding activity for any bunch of coders!

What you need

The book is fairly agnostic about which programming language you’ll be using in your Coding Dojo. The “Kata” exercises sometimes have a small amount of code to get you started, and you can generally choose from several languages, including Java, C#, Javascript, Ruby and Python.

You’ll need a room to hold your Coding Dojo in, and most companies will have a suitable meeting room already. It just needs enough chairs and tables for everyone, a whiteboard, projector, and at least onecomputer. Often, you’ll want one computer for every two people, and internet access.

Section 2: Organizing a Coding Dojo
Section 3: Teaching & Learning In the Dojo

System Assurance: Beyond Detecting Vulnerabilities PDF Download, Reviews, Read Online, ISBN: 0123814146, By Djenana Campara, Nikolai Mansourov
Fox eBook's insight:

In this day of frequent acquisitions and perpetual application integrations, systems are often an amalgamation of multiple programming languages and runtime platforms using new and legacy content. Systems of such mixed origins are increasingly vulnerable to defects and subversion.

System Assurance: Beyond Detecting Vulnerabilities addresses these critical issues. As a practical resource for security analysts and engineers tasked with system assurance, the book teaches you how to use the Object Management Group’s (OMG) expertise and unique standards to obtain accurate knowledge about your existing software and compose objective metrics for system assurance. OMG’s Assurance Ecosystem provides a common framework for discovering, integrating, analyzing, and distributing facts about your existing enterprise software. Its foundation is the standard protocol for exchanging system facts, defined as the OMG Knowledge Discovery Metamodel (KDM). In addition, the Semantics of Business Vocabularies and Business Rules (SBVR) defines a standard protocol for exchanging security policy rules and assurancepatterns. Using these standards together, you will learn how to leverage the knowledge of the cybersecurity community and bring automation to protect your system.

Through real-world examples, you’ll learn how to work with numbers, text, big data sets, and files. Then you’ll see how to create and use your own data types.

The incremental examples show you the steps and missteps that happen while developing programs, so you know what to expect when you tackle a problem on your own. Inspired by “How to Design Programs” (HtDP), you’ll learn a six-step recipe for designing functions, which helps you as you start to learn the concepts–and becomes an integral part of writing programs by the end.

As you learn to use the fundamental programming tools in the first half of the book, you’ll see how todocument and organize your code so that you and other programmers can more easily read and understand it. Beyond the basics, you’ll learn how to ensure that your programs are reliable, and how to work with databases, download data from the web automatically, and build user interfaces. Most importantly, you’ll learn how to think like a professional programmer.

You’ll need to download Python 3, available from “python.org”:https://python.org. With that download comes IDLE, the editor we use for writing and running Python programs. (If you use Linux, you may need to install Python 3 and IDLE separately.)

Programming Erlang, 2nd Edition - PDF Free Download - Fox eBook

Programming Erlang, 2nd Edition - PDF Free Download - Fox eBook | IT Books Free Share | Scoop.it
Programming Erlang, 2nd Edition PDF Download, Reviews, Read Online, ISBN: 193778553X, By Joe Armstrong
Fox eBook's insight:

A multi-user game, web site, cloud application, or networked database can have thousands of users all interacting at the same time. You need a powerful, industrial-strength tool to handle the really hard problems inherent in parallel, concurrent environments. You need Erlang. In this second edition of the bestsellingProgramming Erlang, you’ll learn how to write parallel programs that scale effortlessly on multicore systems.

Using Erlang, you’ll be surprised at how easy it becomes to deal with parallel problems, and how much faster and more efficiently your programs run. That’s because Erlang uses sets of parallel processes-not a single sequential process, as found in most programming languages.

Joe Armstrong, creator of Erlang, introduces this powerful language in small steps, giving you a complete overview of Erlang and how to use it in common scenarios. You’ll start with sequential programming, move to parallel programming and handling errors in parallel programs, and learn to work confidently with distributed programming and the standard Erlang/Open Telecom Platform (OTP) frameworks.

You need no previous knowledge of functional or parallel programming. The chapters are packed with hands-on, real-world tutorial examples and insider tips and advice, and finish with exercises for both beginning and advanced users.

The second edition has been extensively rewritten. New to this edition are seven chapters covering the latest Erlang features: maps, the type system and the Dialyzer, WebSockets, programming idioms, and a new stand-alone execution environment. You’ll write programs that dynamically detect and correct errors, and that can be upgraded without stopping the system. There’s also coverage of rebar (the de facto Erlang build system), and information on how to share and use Erlang projects on github, illustrated with examples from cowboy and bitcask.

Erlang will change your view of the world, and of how you program.

What You Need

Data Communications and Networking, 5th Edition - PDF Free Download - Fox eBook

Data Communications and Networking, 5th Edition - PDF Free Download - Fox eBook | IT Books Free Share | Scoop.it
Data Communications and Networking, 5th Edition PDF Download, Reviews, Read Online, ISBN: 0073376221, By Behrouz Forouzan
Fox eBook's insight:

Data Communications and Networking, 5th Edition is designed to help students understand the basics of data communications and networking, and the protocols used in the Internet in particular by using the protocol layering of the Internet and TCP/IP protocol suite. Technologies related to data communicationand networking may be the fastest growing in today’s culture. The appearance of some new social networking applications is a testimony to this claim. In this Internet-oriented society, specialists need to be trained to run and manage the Internet, part of the Internet, or an organization’s network that is connected to the Internet. As both the number and types of students are increasing, it is essential to have a textbook that provides coverage of the latest advances, while presenting the material in a way that is accessible to students with little or no background in the field.

Using a bottom-up approach, Data Communications and Networking presents this highly technical subject matter without relying on complex formulas by using a strong pedagogical approach supported by more than 830 figures. Now in its Fifth Edition, this textbook brings the beginning student right to the forefront of the latest advances in the field, while presenting the fundamentals in a clear, straightforward manner. Students will find better coverage, improved figures and better explanations on cutting-edge material. The “bottom-up” approach allows instructors to cover the material in one course, rather than having separate courses on data communications and networking.
