Many of the schools that have introduced iPads in the classroom also use the Google Apps for Education suite. Unfortunately these two do not always mix well together. Using Google Apps on the iPads has always been quite tedious, but today Google updated its Google Drive app that solves many of the problems.

Being a Digital Native Isn’t Enough | Guest Blog, Scientific American Blog Network

Being a Digital Native Isn’t Enough | Guest Blog, Scientific American Blog Network | iPadsAndEducation | Scoop.it

My opinion is that we need to treat each individual as that. Some students could be called "Digitial natives" as they are inclined to think this way. It is where they feel most comfortable. Others do not and as such we would not extend to them the same rights to be called a Digital Native.

Technology is one thing I love, but it's not for everyone. We need to teach students AND teachers ways in which they can incorporate technology which will produce better outcomes with their students whilst not being a requirment for absolutley everything.

Most people love to learn something new. The desire to gain knowledge is something that seems to be hard-coded into each person. Many people also love to teach others what they know. After all, if no one taught, there would be nothing to learn.

Type: Versus

Pros: Easy to understand and read

cons: The colors clash with one another to the point at which it's hard to look at, the colors also look dull and washed out

Kiya James's curator insight, May 13, 2016 3:21 PM

Pro: Good idea for useful bait. The headline really grabs a readers attention.

Con: The colors chosen for the font and details of the infograph clash a little with the picture of the players.

13 Free iPad Spelling Apps to Easily Teach Kids to Spell Correctly

13 Free iPad Spelling Apps to Easily Teach Kids to Spell Correctly | iPadsAndEducation | Scoop.it
I don't know if you share the same view or not but many people say that using technology, word editors and other online writing platforms that provide automatic spelling correction weakens our spelling skills and increases the chances of making spelling mistakes once using a paper and pen more than ever before. Well at least from my own experience as a blogger and having to always write three articles per day I do depend a lot on auto-correction and still I would get emails from people saying there are some typing ( not spelling ) mistakes in my posts ( I am sorry about this but my time constraints do not permit me to scrutinize every word I type in and I am sure you understand it ).
