For millions of victims, domestic violence is a matter of life and death, but victims of domestic abuse are being victimized again- ignored and abandoned by the very victim service providers that claim to help them. These publicly and privately funded agencies have no oversight – and are in desperate need of reform.

A woman who experienced domestic violence first-hand shares her story in hopes of raising awareness for victims, family and friends.

 

I am an educated professional woman with a good job. I married an educated professional man who also had a good job. In retrospect, red flags went up throughout our courtship, but I did not recognize them at the time. I thought I could deal with my future husband’s ‘emotional’ behaviors.


I was wrong.
