So my parents came to our home this year for Xmas. They seem to come every other year. My mother is my HP [hoarding parent] and my father is the poor soul that has to put up with her crap.

 

My brother and I actually penned a letter to our father a couple of months ago about our concerns regarding HP. I shared that letter and his response with all of you. [On the COH board.] Both through subsequent emails and on the phone, my father assured me that she was "getting better" and that he was hopeful that they would be able to get the house cleaned by Spring, etc.

Its like a sketch from a comedy film, but the reality is that it isn't funny. I feel for the poor father and the daughter.
