Scotland may well be "facing major constitutional change regardless of the referendum outcome", but that change might not be what many seem to suppose. There is absolutely no rational reason to suppose that, in the event of a No vote, the British state will opt to willingly hand over some of the power which it guards so jealously. Such power as it has conceded was wrested from its clutches only by the threatened use of democratic means to take even more. Why would anyone imagine the British state might relent once the threat is gone?

If a UK government ever sought to make the island authorities more powerful it would be for one reason only - to use those authorities as a means of undermining the Scottish Parliament.

Genuine devolution within Scotland will not happen until our rightful constitutional status is restored.
