Marketing & PR Assistant

Dublin’s Gate Theatre is recruiting for a hard working, enthusiastic, organised candidate to join its Marketing and PR department.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Assist in the delivery of the Marketing and PR plans where needed and provide support to Marketing

Develop creative ideas for pitching stories/interviews to the press.

Create engaging content for the Gate’s social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest etc.) and reaching new and existing audiences through these media

Assist on advertising and promotional campaigns

Assist with production of marketing materials

Write, issue and follow up on Press Releases to secure coverage for The Gate

Log all media requests and organising press interviews

Maintain and develop media lists and nurture press contacts

Compile all media clippings

Any other duties that may be specified by and agreed with the Marketing Manager

Essential skills and experience:

A qualification in Communications/PR/Marketing

Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in Marketing/PR

High level of literacy, communication, and organisational skills

Experience with social media and online marketing

Acute attention to detail and experience in copy writing

Ability to work in a consistently busy work environment with a high level of time Management
