BalancEdTech - iPad Exploration

A highly useful wiki outline for anyone to learn how to use an iPad in the classroom.  This makes me realize how many learning doors the iPad opens for learners of all stripes.  If you follow their outine then at the end and probably working with a partner you will know navigate as well as download apps.  You will explore ebooks and their creation. And as the infomercials shout, "Much, much more."

I like that you have basic stuff and 'extra challenges' very similar to the recent Google Search MOOC.

Selection: flash card apps for iOS with: Leitner

Sortable flash card apps of all stripes. Awesome lesson in how to organize around a focused topic.  This would be a good lesson here in the "seeking, sense-making, and sharing" that is at the core of curation.

JeopardyLabs - Online Jeopardy Template

Used in their proper place, this kind of fun can fit in well especially if students create their own jeopardy games on current content. Or, best yet, if this inspires them to cast about and learn how to create a game of his or her own, well... that would be mahvelous. ~Terry

"Create your own jeopardy template online, without PowerPoint. Or browse the pre-made templates created by other people!"

I would love to have this on my computer.  Is this actually working?  Vaporware?

Commonwealth of Learning - Knowledge Services

Commonwealth of Learning - Knowledge Services | iPedagogy | Scoop.it

This place is first and foremost a learning hub  extraordinaire, but if you are looking for open education resources for your classroom so that your 'poor' students are somewhat less poor then the Commonwealth of Learning is the only place to start.

There are custom google searches, a catalog of searchable resources on the web called the "COL Knowledge Finder", a database that connects 'experienced educators' with organizations that could be aided by that experience, AND some curated RSS feeds that will get you up to speed very quickly on open ed and learning.

Get to it.  I think I have a whole morning ahead of me.
