10 Great Tips on Using iPad Offline ~ Educational Technology and Mobile Learning | iPads, MakerEd and More in Education | Scoop.it

"Whenever we talk about iPad here in Educational Technology and Mobile Learning we take connectivity for granted . But there are times when this connectivity is lost or when WiFi is not picked up or when

He had diligently worked on the graphic below to share with us what we can do with our iPads when there is no connectivity. The ideas he touched on are really interesting but for an educational context I would add a bunch of other tips including :"

You could use a voice recording app to record a clip to share with your students, use camera to take pictures for classroom projects, take videos to share with students, always make sure you have a set of downloaded PDFs or eBooks to read when there is no connectivity, write and save memos, and write a blog post for your class and save it till you are plugged and share it on your classroom blog for your students to use.

Being able to use technology for these items listed abovewould be a great idea because they are very useful. This would be easier for students and teachers and a good way to learn more about technology.

"We’ve made no secret of our love for Evernote here at Bright Ideas, as it’s one of the best ways to keep notes and bookmarks together. One great feature of Evernote is the Web Clipper which works in most major web browsers and makes it easy to save articles for later reading. Free Technology for Teachers: Three Approaches for Getting Content to Elementary Students' iPads - No Email, No Problem

Free Technology for Teachers: Three Approaches for Getting Content to Elementary Students' iPads - No Email, No Problem | iPads, MakerEd and More in Education | Scoop.it

"From the beginning, a major challenge of working with iPads is actually working with iPads. Unlike a computer, there are no multi-user logins, no file structures, and no easy way to share these devices with multiple students. Additionally, in elementary classrooms the challenge becomes even more difficult. Students don't have email addresses. The Terms of Service of many cloud storage options preclude those under the age of 13 from having an account, and devices are often shared. So how can teachers easily distribute content under these circumstances? "
