Jennie Magiera is a digital learning coordinator of 25 public schools in Chicago. She identifies Schoololgy as being her favourite iPad App for fostering collaboration. It is free and includes important discussion features including interactions displayed on a timeline.
This can be useful for teachers to monitor student questions and answers to problem based learning in the classroom. Students are able to see and respond to each other’s posts while providing the teacher with good knowledge of student learning and understanding of the content. What is impressive about this setup are at least two things: 1) It is reasonbly priced at around $200 US and 2) it is highly portable. If you don't have a screen, find a white or light colored wall and go for it.
