I've only used eduCanon, which is a good tool, but I couldn't get the embed code to work in our Sakai LMS. It only requires a paid version to use short answer questions.

Imagine the possibilities - I can't wait to start playing! What a great way to reinforce language at home!

Ness Crouch's curator insight, February 23, 2014 4:36 PM

I've not heard of some of these tools. I'd like to create more videos so I'll have to try these out.

Make Presentations Different

Make Presentations Different | iPads | Scoop.it

With SlideIdea, presentations are no longer a one-man show. SlideIdea gives presenters the tools to engage their audience through their audience’s smart phones, laptops, and tablets. Each SlideIdea presentation is provided a unique URL (i.e, www.sld.im/12345 ). Regardless of the location, an audience can simply input the URL into their internet browser and then immediately follow along with slides, participate in polls, ask questions, or even network.

Slideideia permite ainda importar (e melhorar) apresentações Powerpoint e ficheiros Pdf.

Não chega? Muito bem: com Slideideia pode ainda gravar as suas falas durante a apresentação. Excelente!

Otra forma de hacer presentaciones....

Melissa Marshall's curator insight, April 9, 2014 1:45 AM

This is an excellent idea for letting kids work through your presentations at their own pace. I wonder how it integrates with Keynote for importing existing work?

I am definitely going to have a play with this one.

A New Fantastic Bloom's Taxonomy Wheel for iPad Apps ~ Educational Technology and Mobile Learning

A New Fantastic Bloom's Taxonomy Wheel for iPad Apps ~ Educational Technology and Mobile Learning | iPads | Scoop.it

"Today while I was browsing through my Twitter feeds I came across this fabulous Bloom's Taxonomy wheel of apps shared by Anthony. If you still recall, some previous versions of this wheel have already been featured here in Bloom's Taxonomy for Teachers section .

As you can see, the wheel outlines a wide variety of verbs and activities related to each thinking level of Blooms taxonomy coupled with iPad apps that go with it. These apps are supposed to help teachers and students better cultivate these different thinking levels in their use of iPad apps. And because the the visual is not hyperlinked, I went ahead and provided the links for each of these apps in the lists below. Enjoy"

Teaching With Infographics

Teaching With Infographics | iPads | Scoop.it

"This past week I taught a few classes on infographics and decided to update the page by adding a section called "Teaching With Infographics". It is important for your students to make sure that they evaluate any infographics they are using, by making sure the author/creator has cited their references. Misinformation on the web exists. Have students read these tips to make a better infographic."
