Presentista - Presentations Remixed

Presentista - Presentations Remixed | iPad learning | Scoop.it

Presentista is everything PowerPoint is NOT.

It's easy to use and creates visually strong presentations in 2D or 3D.
It allows you to shape your story first.
It's mobile.
It's social... and viral!
It's web-based or desktop-based. Your choice.
It allows your Mac created presentations to run on a PC. With no glitches.
It even makes adding images and movies natural.

Unique method for accessing student work on iPads? | iPad learning | Scoop.it

There is an awful lot of hot air blown about accessing student work from “class sets” of iPads, via email, WebDAV, Dropbox etc etc. A little known and cool method is this… We all know that we can share via iTunes over USB to any Mac/PC with a recent version of iTunes

How Apple Is Going To Resurrect And Revolutionize Podcasts In iOS 6 | Cult of Mac | iPad learning | Scoop.it

"With the release of Apple’s own dedicated Podcasts app today, it’s clear that Apple is finally taking Podcasts seriously. When podcasts were first brought to iTunes in 2005, Apple made a strong push to promote what they felt was the future of broadcasting. Apple’s own Eddy Cue even said at the time: “We really think podcasting is the next generation of radio.”"

What Type of Learner Are You? (And Why It Doesn't Matter) | Psychology Today

What Type of Learner Are You? (And Why It Doesn't Matter) | Psychology Today | iPad learning | Scoop.it

As an educator, I often come across the concept of "learning styles." Briefly, this refers to the idea that different people learn in different ways. Concerned students will often remark that they didn't do well on a given exam because they are "visual learners," while parents will often note that their child is a "motor learner," an "aural learner," or perhaps an "intuitive learner." The implicit message behind these labels is that educators need to match their method of instruction to match the style of the student, so as to maximize the student's learning and performance. The flip side of this argument, of course, is that if the student learns or performs poorly, some of it may have to do with a mismatch between the student's style and the method of instruction.
