50,000 (And Counting) Education Apps Worth Knowing About | Edudemic

50,000 (And Counting) Education Apps Worth Knowing About | Edudemic | iPad learning | Scoop.it

"You probably saw the title of this post and thought ‘okay there’s no friggin’ way he’s going to assemble a list of the best 50,000 education apps. But thanks to a partnership between Edudemic and FindTheBest, we’ve done just that. We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to build a robust directory of, as of this writing, about 56,000 education apps.

But it’s not just a list… it’s a finely tuned directory capable of sorting out all the apps in ways not even available in the iTunes or Android stores."

Collaborative software for the iPad – iPad whiteboard

Collaborative software for the iPad – iPad whiteboard | iPad learning | Scoop.it

Whether it be in the educational scenario or possibly for a business use, an iPad whiteboard application can be very useful for project collaboration. You do have some online collaboration tools available, I believe there is one within Google docs. When you have a situation when two or more people are working together, it can be very beneficial to have a single workspace."

The Best iPad Note Apps [Best Of] | Cult of Mac | iPad learning | Scoop.it

One of the first things about the iPad that caught people’s attention was the touch screen, and it goes without saying that some of the first apps to start taking advantage of that touch screen were handwriting/note taking apps. Apps that let you write, draw, sketch—-and sometimes type–notes on your iPad.

9 Signs That Neuroscience Has Entered The Classroom | Edudemic

9 Signs That Neuroscience Has Entered The Classroom | Edudemic | iPad learning | Scoop.it

While neuroscience hasn’t yet radically changed the way we think about teaching and learning, it is helping to shape educational policies and influencing new ways of implementing technology, improving special education, and streamlining day-to-day interactions between teachers and students. While there is still a long way to go before we truly understand the science of learning and how to use those findings in the real world classroom, it’s important to highlight some of the key ways that neuroscience is changing the classroom of today for the better.
