"When I first started teaching English with 1:1 iPads, I was really jealous of the science and fine arts teachers. They had all of the most engaging apps, and I was left with a lowly word processor and an instant thesaurus.
Fortunately, so much has changed. I now have the flexibility to duck in and out of my students’ papers as they write and leave them comments on drafts in progress. I have the resources to connect them with a real-world network of readers who authentically guide them to books they will enjoy through reviews and ratings. "
"Have you made digital vessels on your iPad? Yes, you can create clay vases on iPad! ‘Let’s Create Pottery HD’ is a wonderful tool to support teaching and learning in your classroom.
Firstly, let me assure you that using the iPad in a creative workflow in my classroom is not about ‘getting rid of clay’. Art teachers know how valuable those ‘hands-on making’ experiences can be for our students as they grapple with this challenging medium and the multi-step process of building a large-scale object from the ground up.
The Pottery app has immense value in the classroom for other reasons."
NDTV Microsoft Office for iPad app to be launched before July: Report NDTV When Microsoft released Office for the iPhone last year in summer, speculation was rife that the Redmond software giant would soon launch a version for the iPad too.
Today is a little different. I'm actually not typing at all -- I'm writing this blog post by "talking it" on Evernote. And it only took me ten minutes.
I wanted to test this out because although being a Staff Writer here at HubSpot means I have lots of time to blog, I've also worked at places where I didn't have that luxury. When you're balancing 100 different tasks, it's hard to find time to actually sit down and write. (Or maybe writing just isn't your strongest suit.)Luckily, with a little creativity, it's actually still quite easy for you to blog. So in the spirit of being meta, I'm going to show you how to write a blog post without actually "writing" anything. In just 30 minutes (I added on an extra twenty minutes to give you buffer time for importing, formatting, and editing) you should have a polished draft ready to publish. So let's get to it!...
"While the anticipation at what might be announced was enough to whip the tech blogosphere up into a frenzy ahead of the event, we’ve now seen all Cupertino has to offer at its media event in San Francisco, but in case you missed any of it, here’s everything that was announced during the event."

"“What’s it called again, Craftmine?” I wondered aloud with a confused look on my face to a classroom full of nine year olds, playing dumb the whole time. “It’s MINECRAFT!” they all yelled back in unison, smiling and laughing at how out-of-touch their teacher was with their world."
As I move in to a role where I will be working with other colleagues on a more formal basis when it comes to e-learning, I have been reflecting upon different Apps. I was thinking about SAMR and which Apps can have transformative learning linked to them, if used properly. The list started growing quite …
"When Apple announced Airdrop this past June, I knew it would be a great feature for teachers with iPads. A common complaint about iPads in the classroom was that it wasn’t necessarily easy to transfer student work in the Camera Roll to the teacher. With no USB connection and no SD card slot, how was a teachersupposed to collect student work? Email would work for small files, but videos were much too large to send. Dropbox could be a solution, but that would require students to set up their own accounts, problematic if they are under a certain age. Enter AirDrop, a seamless and very quick way to transfer files via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connections between “nearby” devices."
