"One of the first things about the iPad that caught people’s attention was the touch screen, and it goes without saying that some of the first apps to start taking advantage of that touch screen were handwriting/note taking apps. Apps that let you write, draw, sketch—-and sometimes type–notes on your iPad. Something that combined technology with the age-old practice of scribbling notes on paper." Via John Evans

There have been tons of blog posts over the year about great apps that enhance learning, yet I have seen very little blog posts that review apps for teaching. For me introducing iPads into the classroom, be it for teachers or for students, is all about letting the technology solve the challenges that we face everyday. So with these following apps I aim to make my lessons richer in media and my students administration more efficient. In no particular order here are some tips for apps that you can use both in iPad classes and non-iPad classes.

"I aimed to start the teacher training session with the basics, then move onto the functionality of some of the apps. The basics on an iPad are fairly easy to master (hey, my 2 year old daughter can switch between apps) but some of the features of the device can take some time to get used to. Some apps are easy to get to grips whilst other are more challenging and not equal in terms of functionality." Via John Evans
