I use my iPad whenever I'm on the move - I can't remember when I last opened a laptop. For those of you finding yourself in a similar situation I re-scooped this from Ana Cristina Pratas. This is an iPad app and site where you can create video tutorials on a virtual whiteboard on an iPad and share it on the web to view on any device. The site has a extensive bank of shared tutorials from other educators on a range of topics, including maths, science, English, languages and more. Many people do not know how to utilize their electronics without internet access. With the extreme portability of the Ipad, there are many instances where internet access is not readily available. This ideas in this article are a great way for people to start getting real use out of their Ipads with out the internet. One thing I noticed was that it suggested using Spotify in offline mode to listen to music in class. Spotify does not allow offline mode unless you are a Premium user, which costs money. Itunes is the way to go!

The best way to learn a foreign language is through immersion, but immersion is nearly impossible to replicate in the traditional educational environment. In my opinion, the iPad is the most promising tool available to date to foreign language educators to help recreate the immersion environment for students outside of the classroom.
