There’s not exactly an app for it, but according to researchers the iPad can actually help some students learn science. The tablet computer apparently helps students better grasp some nuances of science better than traditional classroom instruction.

I have often said that comparing laptops with ipads is a like comparing apples and oranges. Although the  laptop is becoming iteratively more like the tablet, the immersive nature of  the iPad is difficult to measure and describe. I believe this study is touching on that aspect.
