According to the World Bank Organization ( WBO) with improvement in 5 of the 10 topics studied by the Doing Business Group, Egypt became in 2006/2007 the top reformer overall all the 183 countries under study. More specifically , Egypt was the 10th top reformers in relation with the process of registering property.

 

Following the enforcement of a new regulation which came into effect in august 2006, the overall registrations costs drop from 5,9 % to a maximum of 1 % of the property price.

 

Moreover the Egyptian government significantly the time and number of procedure necessary to register a property, from more than 193 days to an average of 72 days.

EGYPT TARGETS 30 MILLION VISITORS BY 2017 |

On the 1st of January 2013, we have incorporated in our legal Staff, Abdel Fattah, in quality of Regional Director for Egypt. Mr Abdel Fattah, is a registered lawyer under the Bar of Cairo and Hurghada, and a member of the Arab LAwyer Union, with an extensive practive over the last 15 years within the field of Corporate and Commercial Law.

 

Mr Abdel Fattah, is also an International Arbitrator member of the Egypttian Arbitration Chambere for International Commercial Arbitration- .

 

This new incorporation will therefore allow GIC Legal to offer to any its clients the possibility to settle their commercial dispute more efficiently through a private and professional jurisdiction in Egypt

QATAR INVESTS IN EGYPT’S PROPERTY MARKET

Large investment organizations are choosing to invest in Egypt property with the latest deal amounting to nearly € 445 million from a real-estate company in Qatar.
The news story from Bloomberg has excited property investors and put confidence back into Egypt. The investment will create 4,000 jobs in Cairo and the Red Sea area, and is expected to assist Egypt’s property market.
The emirate has given continued support since the revolution in January and a report from Qatar News Agency has stated the country may invest a further €7.5 billion into building a new port in Egypt.

 

This is great news for Egypt as it gives the country a chance to push its tourism industry to the next level. Property investment has become very popular in Red Sea areas like Hurghada and the new investment will give the region a massive boost of visitors.


Investment’s in Egypt’s tourism and real-estate sectors has shown the country has strong potential for full time growth and its economy is set to improve dramatically over the coming months

In February 2011: Citigroup analysts Willem Buiter (Chief Economist) and Ebrahim Rahbari stated that Egypt is predicted to be the 10th largest economy worldwide by 2050.

 

Citibank also expects Egypt to emerge as its third best economy in terms of economic growth behind only Bangladesh & China. "We expect a steadily rising growth rate for the next 40 years, averaging 5% per annum between 2010 and 2050.
