How to make font transparent in PowerPoint

There are so many great, hidden (or at least not as known) functions in PowerPoint. Without even leaving PowerPoint you can add great effects to your slides.

A nice technique, but be careful. It doesn't always add to the slide, as the title slide in the post so clearly demonstrates. If the background is too busy, as it is here, viewers can't read the text.
