This year, British Columbia has introduced the SelfDesign Learning Community for Grades K-9. Read more about this initiative.

For the 2011-2012 learning year, SelfDesign Learning Community (K-9) is offering:

> new insights into learning beyond the paradigm of schooling
> individualized support from one of our 100-plus Learning Consultants throughout BC (all BC certified teachers). View the bios for SelfDesign’s Learning Consultants on this site.
> access to The Village of Conversations, our unique online learning community featuring numerous learning-focused conferences and specialized mentors to support parents and learners
> a learning investment to support families in procuring individualized learning resources and services
> Special Education support
> a SelfDesigning Path workshop offered to the parents of kinder learners and other families new to SelfDesign.

Thank you Kathleen McClaskey for curating this site. I plan to interview the people from this program to learn more and how it can be replicated.
