by Mike Reading "Apart from the ability to collaborate in real time, my favourite tool inside Google Docs is the ability to conduct research without having to leave the document I am working in.
"Not only does the research feature save you time, but allows you to easily collate a bibliography of sites that you have visited and used. This is perfect for students doing a major assignment, where research and quoting secondary sources is a major focus.
"The research tool can also be used by younger students to start the research process. I encourage students when starting to research a topic to find all the information they might need to gain a general understanding of their topic. Once they have a number of sources and understand the topic in general, they can then easily go back through their research doc and find relevant information which will allow them to understand the topic in more depth."

by Richard Byrne "Creating quizzes in Google Forms is one of the things that I usually teach people how to do during my Google Apps workshops. Google Forms are very useful for delivering short quizzes online. However, if you need to have a paper copy of that quiz printing the Google Form was less than elegant until today. This afternoon on the Google Drive Google+ page it was announced that now when you print a Google Form it is generated in a printer-friendly format.
Applications for Education I "f you need paper copies of your Google Forms for students who cannot complete the form online for one reason or another, the new printer-friendly version of forms will be useful to you and your students."

The post continues to explore what should be published, noting that "finished products and the thinking process itself are two very different things."
Why publish? Think of it as a process of authentic experience. Students like to have the ability to see their work online and have others respond to it. The post provides a table that lists 25 apps that range from "videos to graphics, blogging to concept mapping" across many platforms. This is interactive and links to edshelf where you may learn more about the app. In addition there is a list of 27 tools (many of which are listed inthe table).
