VoiceNote: Another Excellent Voice-to-Text App for Google Chrome

VoiceNote: Another Excellent Voice-to-Text App for Google Chrome | Into the Driver's Seat | Scoop.it

Once again Paul Hamilton brings us another great tool to use with Chrome, VoiceNote. He states that it "offers excellent voice-to-text...VoiceNote opens as a dictation window." Therefore it may "sit on top of a document being written" (or occupy your entire screen). A few of the features he mentions are:

* dictating directly into a text box facilitates creating paragraphs or longer selections of text

* on-screen buttons for adding punctuation

* suport for multiple languages

"Google Earth was one of the very first pieces of software that I began to create educational resources with. As I put it in one of my first ever blog posts 5 years ago: ”This app won me over straight away.” The engaging environment really struck a chord with me and I remember fondly my first forays into using it to support learning. It has developed so much over the years...."

Frequency™ for iPad on the iTunes App Store

Frequency is a free iPad app for discovering, aggregating, watching and sharing online video.

Frequency is easy works rather like Fipboard,  in that you can search for your favourite channels and sources to add to the Tuner for quick access to the latest videos. Perhaps what might be most  most useful is taht you can connect to you Facebook Twitter and YouTube accounts and watch the latest posting from you networks or on YouTube your favourited and uploaded videos. As with other, similar online tools, putting in some time to explore will bring its rewards.

I look forward to seeing what other education professionals think of Frequency, or how they use it
