Get inspired by these 8 brilliant landing page examples.
Learning how to put together an A+ landing page is tricky.
There are so many elements that a top-notch landing page needs, and making those elements the "best" they can be often depends on what your landing page goals are.
Take form length for example. It's just one of the many components you need to optimize, but best practices will tell you that both short and long forms perform well -- it all depends on whether you want to generate a lot of overall form submissions, or a smaller number of quality submissions.
Some great examples here to model. It's an essential skill for those who rely on growing their leads online.
Some interesting Facebook posts.
Facebook is where at least 70% of my business gets done and comes from.

It’s impossible to respect, value and admire great leadership if you can’t identify what makes a leader great. Because of this, the identity crisis I have written about that exists in today’s workplace is something that women leaders in particular have been facing for much too long. While the tide is changing and more women are being elevated into leadership roles, there is still much work to do. As of July 2013, there were only 19 female elected presidents and prime ministers in power around the globe. In the business world, women currently hold only 4.6 percent of Fortune 500 CEO positions and the same percentage of Fortune 1000 CEO positions. As women continue their upward trajectory in the business world, they have yet to be fully appreciated for the unique qualities and abilities they bring to the workplace.
A very interesting article.
2014 will certainly be the year that content curation goes mainstream. Some will call it social curation, and others will call it something else.
You will find my commentary in the article.

Social media blunders in 2013.
As we move into 2014 the complexity of the world wide web continues to evolve. One of the developments that will effectively help to minimize the learning curve, as well as offer a much higher end user experience, is the advancement of the application programming interface. (API)If you are not familiar with what this is, basically it allows developers to access programming from established programs and websites and to use the information in combination with their work to display content. This is probably a very simplistic way to explain the API, but that is it in a nutshell. This is a great article that expounds on the topic but also the need for developers to be able to combine api’s in a mashup to create superior products and experiences for end users. A great a article.
If you want a great stocking stuffer gift, give the book that will help protect your loved ones future. What Happens In Vegas Stays On Youtube.
Erik Qualman the award winning author of Socialnomics has a new book coming out called "What Happens in Vegas Stays On YouTube, which speaks to privacy issues and reputation management issues that we all face in our now hyper connected digital world. This would make a great stocking stuffer.
This article written by Ryan Holmes the CEO of Hootsuite speaks volumes about what we can expect to see change in social media in 2014.
I personally think as an entrepreneur, or a responsible business executive, it’s vital to get ahead of the technological curve. This way you can formulate a business plan, and implement some strategies to develop a competitive advantage over your competition, or perhaps even become more attractive to potential investors.

You should really look about 5 years down the road, if you believe you have the vision for it. After all none of us has a crystal ball, but one thing is a constant. It’s a dog eat dog world, some might say survival of the fittest. In life you have to develop wisdom.
Intelligence without wisdom, is like a bright light leading you nowhere. The internet is full of narcissists. Perhaps not intentionally, but none the less a fact yes, shameless self promoters and people full of false promises.
We are all looking for that elusive blueprint for success. There is one for you, but first you must realize that there is no substitute for hard work. Next you must be willing to persevere.
As digital marketing has continued to become a powerhouse in the marketing tool belt it has required agencies to consider how they can best serve the needs of the brands they serve. We’ve seen agencies slap social media on their list of services with little true expertise. Now we are seeing agencies slap content marketing on their list of services as it has become the new cool that everyone is all the rage about.
This is just a telling piece of the necessary transformations companies must undergo to make their digital presence as effective as possible. It is also a great guide to what content marketing agencies must do to keep up with the digital times.
As you might well know, Facebook has the largest stockpile of photos in the world. Soon they will be able to find and identify a photo with remarkable accuracy with a new program called DeepFace.
What do you think? Are we crossing into privacy and other concerns with Facebook facial recognition?

On December 5, 2013, the world mourns the loss of one of the greatest gifts humanity has ever endowed to itself: Nelson Mandela.
Fantastic business lessons to be learned from the life of Nelson Mandela.
New research looks at how experiences can positively shift our self-perception.
I often hear people say, "I'm the kind of person who…" or, "I'm not a people person.” These seemingly off-the-cuff comments suggest they’re resigned to not changing their self-perception—regardless if it’s inaccurate or self-defeating. My longtime colleague, Dr. Richard Davidson, founder and chair of the Center for Investigating Healthy Minds, at the Waisman Center, University of Wisconsin-Madison, has studied neuroplasticity, the ability of the mind to change throughout life.
I believe this study to be very significant and true. From my personal experiences, one must break free from the repetetive negative experiences in order to transition to a much better way of thinking.

If you happen to be a start up founder by the name of Ben Kosinski, who founded Sumpto, then you are on to a great idea. Yes college student’s are more connected then ever, and also are eager to make a little extra income on the side.
Even if it comes in the way of perks and incentives. This is exactly the new opportunity brands have now to connect with the right influencers at major university’s.
Sumpto allows brands to evaluate college student’s influence based on their social media and digital footprints, ans essentially let’s them do the talking for them. A marvelous idea to say the least.
My insight is in the post, but you really should read this article. This is the direction brands should be heading in.
