Star Wars Gig Attracts David Fincher And Jon Favreau

Star Wars Gig Attracts David Fincher And Jon Favreau | WEBOLUTION! | Scoop.it

In a new Deadline blogpost, of the kind they don’t normally publish, Mike Fleming finally gets off topic entirely to name some directors he’s hearing are in the race to direct one of the upcoming Star Wars films.

"As much as I’ve heard the Vaughn rumor, I’ve also heard Jon Favreau is panting after this job, and even that David Fincher, who apparently worked for Lucas’s ILM in a menial job as a teen, might be game for one of these new films."

To add to this, The Playlist‘s commentary on Fleming’s story says:

"We first heard about [Fincher] from our sources not long after the new Star Wars trilogy was announced, but we never reported it because it’s been very up in the air and not quite concrete."

Which is an odd move, really, as they’ll report all sorts of “up in the air and not quite concrete” stuff second hand. Indeed, you could argue that’s exactly what they’re doing now.

Favreau seems like a pretty Star Wars-friendly choice but would Fincher really be interested in the stylistic constraints implicit in the job? Well, for all I know, that’s why he’s interested. Perhaps he wants to play with the language established in the six films so far.

Note that nobody quoted above is specifying Episode VII as being the Star Wars film in question. That film very possibly already has a director – the running was certainly down to two over a fortnight ago.

It seems like many films are in the works, however, not just a new trilogy. Sooner or later there will be enough that all of these rumoured directors could get a go.

The official announcement is actually expected soon. Kathleen Kennedy, we’re hanging on your every press release.

Chi sono i Self Publisher?

Chi sono i Self Publisher? | WEBOLUTION! | Scoop.it

- Quando si ha accesso a un mercato specializzato per i propri libri;
- Quando si hanno abbastanza risorse finanziarie per investire nella propria opera e in caso ci sia la possibilità di assumere professionisti;
- Per chi avesse un manoscritto che probabilmente non interesserebbe a un’editoria tradizionale;
- Nel caso in cui ci fossero autori non disposti ad aspettare l’accettazione del proprio manoscritto da parte di agenti ed editori;

- Capire quale può essere il tuo acquirente ideale e quindi a quale tipo di persone rivolgere la tua opera;
- Organizzare e pianificare il processo in anticipo, creando una tabella di marcia con i vari punti da seguire;

| Scoop.it

A Living, Breathing Infographic: A Look at the Web's First Socially Generative Visualization

A Living, Breathing Infographic: A Look at the Web's First Socially Generative Visualization | WEBOLUTION! | Scoop.it

The idea of a Socially Generative Visualization originated out of a section of the design handbook INFOGRAPHICS.
An SGV, as described by the authors, is a new direction for data visualization– one which marketers and content consumers alike should take note of– especially as content distribution continues to be affected by socially relevant data.

What’s the next step when you’re looking to give your viewers a deeper interaction with your content? Apparently, we should be looking at “socially generative visualizations,” a novel approach that combines the best aspects of traditional static Infographics and classic interactive interfaces with a new purpose: “to allow the viewer to interact with the content in a more meaningful way by contributing to and actually being a part of the measured data that is displayed.”
