Interview with Misha Leybovich, co-founder of Meograph

Interview with Misha Leybovich, co-founder of Meograph | WEBOLUTION! | Scoop.it

In social media, there is always something new to discover.

The other day, Misha Leybovich contacted me to let me know about Meograph, the platform she had co-founded with Francis Escuadro.

Basically, Meograph lets you pull multimedia items (maps, videos, photos, etc.) to create interactive videos that you can then share with people.

I think the idea is very interesting. I haven't tried the service yet, but decided to interview Misha to learn more about it.

Smart Grid – Where Power is Going [infographic]

Smart Grid – Where Power is Going [infographic] | WEBOLUTION! | Scoop.it
Why should an everyday homeowner care that the smart grid can increase the U.S. electric grid's efficiency by 9 percent?

And what does that amount to in terms of energy and monetary savings? This infographic visually highlights those savings and what they actually mean to consumers.

The effort aims to connect the consumer with the smart grid, by explaining it simply and driving home the many benefits of smart grid technology, including: cost savings, energy efficiency, improved outage detection and resolution, as well as environmental benefits,.

“By highlighting the conveniences and benefits the smart grid can bring to consumers, the SGCC and its members can help consumers understand the smart grid just as they understand other, consumer-friendly, ‘smart’ technologies they wouldn’t consider living without – such as a smart phone, computer or television.”

Forget Google Glasses: Our ‘Smart Phones’ Will Soon Be Contact Lenses

Forget Google Glasses: Our ‘Smart Phones’ Will Soon Be Contact Lenses | WEBOLUTION! | Scoop.it

You wake up in the morning, rub your sleepy eyes. As you’re getting ready to face the day you put in your contact lens, which will make the Internet and all your files, playlists, GPS, favorite apps, and addicting games literally available with the blink of an eye. Scientists are already at the animal testing phase of the technology that will make this possible.
