When research uses practices who go against all Ethics by using a botnet, which means that computer are getting first infected and than later connected together to form a botnet to find out about the map of the internet, one should ask about where RESEARCH is going :((( That certainly isn't good for the reputation of RESEARCH!!!

G+ is catching up big time for many reasons.  Among these reasons is the Hangout integration.

We just facilitated a remote 1.5 day leadership development session with Hangouts and it was fantastic.

Google is sticking to their strategy and their value is starting to win people over.  I was never a fan and, through valuable features, I am changing my perspective on the suite of offerings.

This is a relevant infographic.

Don’t have a plan to capture tacit knowledge? Your KM strategy is incomplete. | WEBOLUTION! | Scoop.it

"Knowledge Management professionals acknowledge that the two main types of knowledge are tacit and explicit. The differences between the two are vast, yet only one is the most important: tacit. Despite the fact that many Knowledge Management (KM) researchers believe that around 80% of organizational knowledge consists of tacit knowledge, there are far more KM tools available for capturing explicit knowledge. Why is this?"

Setup a motivation strategy in order to pull colleagues to share their knowledge.

carmendsw's curator insight, February 19, 2013 4:26 AM

Around 80% of organizational knowledge consists of tacit knowledge. we need to create opportunities and incentives for joint learning, sharing of insights, reflection and mentoring.

Martijn Cruyff's curator insight, February 20, 2013 9:14 AM

I'm interested in making organisations more effective by letting members of that organisation collaborate more effectively. the added value of an organisation comes from its people, more than from processes or technology. Collaboration, like sharing tacit knowledge, is a social process. I think this article is interesting for me because it provides a little bit of background on the nature of knowledge.

Security Threats in 2013 - Check also for Mac Malware

Security Threats in 2013 - Check also for Mac Malware | WEBOLUTION! | Scoop.it

Read about the latest cyber security trends in the Sophos Security Threat Report 2013.

Most malware developers have found it more profitable to attack Windows than to learn new skills needed to target the smaller OS X user community.

===> But Macs are finding a new home in thousands of businesses and government agencies, and malware authors are paying attention. <===

Forrester Research analyst Frank Gillette recently reported that “almost half of enterprises (1,000 employees or more) are issuing Macs to at least some employees—and they plan a 52% increase in the number of Macs they issue in 2012.”

===> Even more Macs are arriving unofficially through bring your own device arrangements, where they are often an executive’s device of choice for accessing web or cloud applications. <===

===> Growing Mac usage means many IT organizations must objectively assess, mitigate, and anticipate Mac-related malware threats for the first time. And the risks are clearly increasing! <===

Forecast 2020: Web 3.0+ and Collective Intelligence | WEBOLUTION! | Scoop.it

"Let’s focus on the resulting element — the “collective intelligence”. Think about it as billions of human brains working using future super computers as a platform. Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) professor Srini Devadas described “collective intelligence” as consisting of two pillars: cloud computing and crowd computing. Cloud computing is using the Internet as a platform and making access to information available to everyone. Crowd computing, according to him, involves the analysis of information into “collective intelligence” far beyond what we have today."
