With nearly 700 sessions, 150 additional workshops, and informal learning environments, the annual ISTE conference provides a multitude of professional development opportunities for educators interested in integrating technology into their teaching. This year's conference will be held in San Antonio, Texas, in the United States.

On March 3, 2012, iEARN-USA Director Emeritus Ed Gragert and representatives of iEARN-Suriname were hosted by US Ambassador in Suriname John Nay to celebrate the YES program administered by iEARN in a number of countries. Also attending the event at the Ambassador's home in Paramaribo, Suriname was a special guest - Deputy to the US Secretary of Education Anthony Miller.

Through the iEARN Photojournalism 2.0 Program, underserved schools in Bangladesh, Pakistan and Tajikistan have received media tools and resources to encourage 21st Century skills amongst their students.
