Surprised to see Social Media so low down - can be a hugely valuable channel in big organisations allowing real time, instant communication up and down and across the organisation. Can be integrated to company intranets to share information and knowledge. A training programme to equip employees with the skills to use it would be good use of the budget. L&MD also important as key drivers of engagement.
Speaking of the narrative that infographics assume, Richards says, “With infographics you will follow many of the same storytelling conventions set by literature. You set up the story - introduce your subject and then tell the story. It could be comparing to different points of view, the story of one mans life or the expansion of a company. Infographics have a elemental power to communicate the details of story by visually showing the context between elements, that flipping back and forth through pages doesn't allow.”
